Location: France Langue in Nice is just a few minutes away from both the Promenade des Anglais, the Place
Massena as well as the Baie des Anges. This is quite the energetic heart and soul of the city and all the attractions are
within a small distance from the school. Nice’s streets in this part of the city are lined with many restaurants, Cafes,
as well as small shops of all kinds.
School Size: The Nice campus offers 17 classrooms and has a maximum capacity of 200 students at one time.
Class Size: Group classes include between 8 and 12 students.
Minimum age: 17
Timing: The peak season is summer so make sure to register early if you would like to take classes
during this time.
Start Dates: Classes begin on any Monday of the
year unless you are a beginner or if there is a holiday.

The school is closed from December 16,2005 to January 2, 2006 and from December 25, 2006 to January
7, 2007. Classes that fall on a holiday are not prorated and will not be made up except for April 17, May 8, June
5,November 1 and November 11.
Duration: Each course starts on a Monday and ends on a Friday. The minimum course length is one week.
There is no maximum length. Students can study either 20, 30, or 40 lessons per week. Each lesson is 45 minutes.
Courses can be started in Nice and continued in Paris or vice-versa.
The following are the possible course times. Course times will be assigned upon arrival by level.
20 lessons per week: Monday through Friday 1:45 pm-5 pm or Tuesday
through Friday from 8:45 to 12:45.
30 lessons per week: Students
taking 30 lessons per week have 20 lessons in the morning + 10 lessons in the afternoon, either Monday from 1:45 to 5:00,
Thursday from 1:45 to 5:00 and Wednesday from 1:45 to 3:15 OR Tuesday from 1:45 to 5:00, Friday from 1:45 to 5:00 and Wednesday
from 3:30 to 5:00.
40 lessons per week: Tuesday through Friday 8: 45 am-12:45 pm
AND Monday through Friday 1:45 pm-5 pm
Content: Classes focus on speaking and listening
skills all while improving the student’s written skills
Relaxed
and lively atmosphere where students feel free to actively participate, express their views, in role play and simulations.
Oral and written exercises are used daily to learn or review grammar. Pronunciation is corrected according to each ones needs.
Books: Text books are not used at the Nice campus.
Students receive photo copies of various text books which will correspond to each individual lesson.
Homework: Students are assigned home work. It usually
takes about an hour to complete.
Schools Features: The Nice campus offers a computer
room with Internet access (2 euros per hour) as well as a break room with soda and snack machines
College
Credit: The following universities have issued academic credit in the past: University of Southern Mississipi, Grand Valley State University,
Nicholls State University, Millsaps College, Washington and Lee University, Ohio State University, Queen's College, Saint
Louis Community College. Students who would like to obtain academic credit should first contact their univiversity to find
out if the university would issue credit for attending France Langue in Nice. If a transfer credit is necessarry, students
can opt to contact the above universities to find out if they can obtain academic credit from them and transfer
it to their own university. Prior to making any kinds of transfers, make sure that your university will approve credit from
one of the above mentioned universities. If your advisor requires more information about the curriculum, please have
him/her contact us so that we can answer any questions and send more information.
Excursions/Activities: France Langue organizes guided tours Monday through Friday. The school offers excursions every
2 weeks, and accompanies the students to see a show an average of once per week.
Additional Programs: France Langue offers many fun and exciting programs in addition to the Language programs. Students
can study French art history, Business French, Legal French, French with an emphasis on hotel and tourism, French with

Day care: Students with children are responsible for finding day care for their children. Host families
do not offer daycare services.
