Duration: Classes run in weekly increments and run from
Monday through Friday. The standard group courses begin at 9:30 am to 1 pm each day except on Tuesday when classes run until
1:15 pm. For those taking the intensive group program, classes then resume at 2:30 and continue to 4 pm from Monday through
Thursday.
Content: The prime objective at the French Language School
in Bordeaux is to work on the practice of the language using oral expression, enabling the person to rapidly communicate in
everyday situations. The training follows the contents and progression of a manual (French as a foreign language) for adults,
to which the French Language School adds authentic material to help get a better understanding of the social and cultural
aspects of the language. The methods used by the Bordeaux French Language School are above all interactive and communicative.
The programs are carefully structured but sufficiently flexible to allow each student of the French Language
School in Bordeaux to progress according to their level and learning pace.
Teaching materials: The French Language School in Bordeaux uses FLE
(French as a Foreign Language) manuals, grammar and vocabulary documents, audio and video materials, as well as Internet resources.

Accommodations: Students
of the French Language School in Bordeaux can stay in a private room with a host family, or in an apart’hotel.
Host family: The French
Language School in Bordeaux carefully chooses each host family. The host families are of all ages and social backgrounds,
they provide breakfast and dinner on weekdays and all meals on weekends, with an individual, comfortable bedroom. Generally,
there are one or two students of different nationalities per family, except during the summer period when this cannot be guaranteed.
Accommodation is from Sunday prior to starting date of the course until Saturday or
Sunday after the end of the course. Please do not forget to send us full travel arrangements at least 2 weeks before arrival.
Please note that in July and August, host family accommodation is sometimes subject to availability.
Apart’hotel: 25 minute walking distance from
the school, the Apart'Valley Apart'hotel is situated 100 meters from Quai des Chartrons. This residence is elegantly
furnished. It is comprised of studios and apartments, fully equipped with kitchenette, bathroom, telephone, Satellite TV,
air conditioning with free parking facilities.
