Córdoba, Argentina
Córdoba is a very picturesque and historic city located in the geographic
heart of Argentina. Its surroundings are some of the most attractive tourist areas due to nice weather and beautiful landscapes
of mountains, valleys, rivers, and lakes.
Córdoba's main attraction is its university life, since students from around
the country and also from the rest of South America come to study in its prestigious academic institutions, turning the city
into a youth center, and providing varied spare activities. Its nightlife is a pleasure for those who want to finish a hard
working day with fun.
The city has grown significantly over the last decade since many new industries
have settled in Cordoba. The construction of modern buildings, shopping centers and new neighborhoods has changed the appearance
of the city somewhat. Córdoba retains its rich colonial heritage, however, as shown by several old churches, the Cabildo,
and the famous and prestigious National University of Córdoba.
Córdoba is a privileged and unique place to swim, climb, walk, fish, ride
bicycles and horses, and to do all the activities that adventure tourism can offer. Outside the city, one can find the Jesuitic
churches and estancias, which were declared by UNESCO as a Humankind Cultural Heritage.
Apart from the natural beauty of the region, its rich cultural atmosphere
and developed economy, the the warmth and hospitality of its people are what make Córdoba such an attractive city in which
to study Spanish.
